Basically, she was created to kill him. But, just like Shadow, Lightstorm escaped. Instead of tracking him down and killing him, Lightstorm and Shadow became the best of friends... one might even say they love each other. Lightstorm is a chimera, a mixture of two or more animals. Lighstorm if half Hedgehog, half Cat.
